Valle delle Cartiere walk

One of the loveliest local outings follows the Toscolano stream through the Valle delle Cartiere: old paper mills, small waterfalls and cool woodland between the lake and the hills. Stop at the Museo della Carta in the historic mulino to see how paper was made here for centuries, then take a break at the bar beside the river (panini included) before heading back toward Maderno.
